Once upon a time, there was a whale called Lola who always kept to herself. Whenever anyone tried to cheer her up, Lola would move away. After some time, the animals decided to ignore her forever as they thought that Lola was unfriendly.

However, Dido, a young dolphin, refused to follow the others. She secretly followed Lola to find out why Lola behaved in that way. To Dido's surprise, she saw Lola eating sand while crying near the ocean bed. As Lola opened her mouth to eat, Dido realised that Lola had bad breath. She asked Lola, "Is this why you do not want to make friends with all of us?"

Lola nodded sadly and said, "I am ashamed of my bad breath."

"Do you know that the rest of the animals think that you are unfriendly? Isn't that worse? Dido asked. Lola realised that by not getting help, she had created a bigger problem. Lola then accepted Dido's offer to clean her teeth. When this was done, Lola began speaking to everyone again. She learnt to trust her friends with her problems.
