Read the passage below and answer questions 1 to 5. Your answer must be based on the passage.

In ancient Persia, there lived an old merchant whose name was Kasim. He wa the wealthiest of all the merchants but he was miser. His robe was torn and tattered. However, the worst were his slippers. He had bought the brown leather slippers ten years ago. Now, the slippers were full of patches that had been stiched on by countless of cobblers.

One day, Kasim went to a public swimming pool. As he was swimming, his friend, Rahim, advised him, "You should throw away those slippers. You are the laughing stock of the village." Kasim ignored Rahim and continued to swim.

Just as Kasim was getting ready to go home, he found a new pair of expensive slippers at the same spot where he had left his old slippers. "Hmm... They must be presents from Rahim," he mused. Unfortunately for Kasim, the slippers belonged to the Village Chief. When the Chief found out that his slippers were missing, he ordered his servants to search for them. Soon, they found out who the culprit was. To punish him, Kasim was fined heavily for stealing the slippers. His old slippers, which were found at the swimming complex, were returned to him.

At home, the miser was raging with anger. Unable to control his temper, he threw his slippers out of his window and they fell into the drain. They floated into the main drain pipe and clogged up the drains of the village. Dirty water overflowed into the streets. After some investigations, Kasim's slippers were found to be the cause. He was given another fine for all the trouble he had caused.

What an expensive lesson Kasim had learnt. As the saying goes, 'Penny wise, pound foolish'. Kasim disposed of his slippers in an appropriate manner and bought himself a new pair.

Answer in complete sentences.

Mutu lived with his son, daughter-in-law and their eleven-year-old grandson, Dan. Frail and old, Mutu's hands often trembled, his vision was poor and his knees hurt with every step he took. "I'm really useless," he thought miserably, shaking his head and sighing.

The family ate together every night at the dinner table. As Mutu ate, bits of food would spill out of his bowl. "I've had enough of this!" grumbled Mrs Taj, the daughter-in-law.

So the heartless son ordered Mutu to sit in a corner of the dining room. While the rest of the family had their dinner, Mutu ate his food alone which was piled into a wooden bowl. He had on several previous occasions broken many plates and bowls, so Mr Taj resorted to making his father use a wooden bowl instead. Dan stole a glance at his grandfather and saw tears welling up in his eyes.

One evening, Mr Taj noticed his son making something. "What are you doing, my dear?" he asked.

"Oh, I'm making a little bowl for you, Dad. It'll come in handy when you're old," Dan replied. The words struck Mr Taj like a spear through his heart. That evening, Mr Taj took his father's hand and gently led him back to the dining table.
